Who are ALLMI?

ALLMI are the most recognised organisation within the lorry loader industry and is CSCS approved meaning it can deliver to construction sites. The ALLMI lorry loader course has been awarded the Health and Safety Executive’s ‘Working in Partnership’ logo of recognition and is the only lorry loader training scheme in the UK to have received this commendation from the HSE.

 


What you can expect from our training packages:


Becoming a Slinger/Signaller is one of the most important jobs on a building site and requires you to have concentration, diligence, and skill. The job involves working alongside the lifting team to provide safe direction and supervision to the crane operators. Crane accidents can be deadly!

 

Specialist training is needed to ensure that the Slinger/Signaller is competent to carry out their job safely and effectively.  Slinger/Signallers must be able to communicate clearly with the Crane Operator and operate in a safe manner. As such, all training will focus on:

  • Responsibilities of the Slinger/Signaller
  • Identifying potential hazards, and acting on them
  • What can cause accidents, and how to prevent them
  • Features and safe use of equipment
  • Ensuring load balance & security
  • Securing loads with the correct lifting accessories


Course Levels:

2-Day Novice (Beginner)

Two days for novice candidates. (Max of 4 candidates per course)

 

1-Day Experienced

The course duration is one day for experienced candidates, perfect for candidates that have previous experience of the course. (Max of 4 candidates per course)

 

Upon successful completion of the course every candidate will receive an identity card & certificate and will be registered on the ALLMI database.

 

The identity card and certificate are valid for five years, after which time refresher training and assessments will need to be undertaken. Candidates also receive the ALLMI Slinger/Signaler manual, which is used as a reference guide throughout their career.
